Basic Employee Life Insurance
AAA Carolinas provides full-time team members the equivalent of their annual base salary in group life insurance and pays the full cost of this benefit. Basic Benefit: 1 times Annual Compensation rounded to the next higher $1,000, if not already a multiple thereof. Eligible dependent spouses will also be covered for $5,000 or $10,000 of benefit. Additionally, Eligible child dependants will also be covered for $1,000 or $2,500 or $5,000 of benefit.
The employee life insurance includes an Accelerated Death Benefit Rider which will pay 75% of your death benefit. to a maximum of $200,000.
Voluntary Life Insurance
Team members can supplement their group life insurance benefits by purchasing additional coverage. If you decline enrolling in this benefit as a new hire, then an Evidence of Insurability (EOI) application will be required if you later choose to enroll in this benefit during a future annual open enrollment period.
Note: If you are not in Active Service on the date insurance would otherwise go into effect, it will be effective on the date you return to Active Service. If an eligible Spouse or Dependent Child is: (1) an inpatient in a hospital, hospice, rehabilitation or convalescence center, or custodial care facility; or (2) confined to his or her home under the care of a physician on the date insurance would otherwise be effective, it will be effective on the date he or she is no longer an inpatient in these facilities or confined at home.
